There is one common answer to the question: How have you been?
And it says nothing about how you actually are.

Most answer, “Great, I’ve been really busy.”
As though busy is a good thing. It’s not.

Busy shuts down the conversation. Busy has negative connotations. Busy suggests you don’t like what you’ve been doing.

Rather, answer, “Great, I’ve been really active.”
Automatically, this imbues curiosity and interest. Active is positive. Active suggests you’re doing things you enjoy.

Be active, not busy.

As a coach, I love being active. I actively carecollaborate and commuicate in all that I put my mind to.
